Jewish Education's Bar Mitzvah Test
The course runs concurrently with the Bat Mitzvah Programme, combining academic, experiential and social activities. The morning sessions start with a joint breakfast with the Bat Mitzvah class and continue with separate sessions covering those aspects of the aje Bar Mitzvah Syllabus, as well as more contemporary issues that form the basis of group discussions and exploration. Throughout the year there are various guest speakers and off site activities, both social and educational.
A continuation of Jewish
education after the Barmitzvah programme
is offered in form of a 2 Year GCSE
course in Jewish studies.

and their Dads.

This unique programme is designed
to challenge and stimulate its members,
making it an environment to explore
discuss and learn as well as create
and have fun! As the girls share their
interests, goals and experiences at
this crucial turning point in their
lives, they develop friendships a
sense of unity with other Jewish girls
their age. They take on responsibilities
and learn about the positive contributions
they can make to themselves, their
families and to the community. Sessions
will include stimulating discussions
on beauty: inside and out, challah
baking, trips to old age homes and
bowling and ice cream parties.

Kolot is a learning and text based Bat Mitzvah Course run by LSJS at HGSS. It is for Year 7 girls and their mothers, based on a model pioneered at MaTaN women's seminary in Jerusalem. It offers a unique opportunity for mothers and daughters to spend one and a half hours together every fortnight, learning, talking, laughing and sharing with one another.
